Discouragement and Despair

DISHARMONY: Resentment and self-pity; bitterness and grudges; envy mixed with resentment; feeling like a victim of adversity.

POSITIVE MEANING: Responsiveness , understanding, optimism.

Edward Bach's definition of this remedy:

“For those who have suffered adversity or misfortune and find it difficult to accept these things without complaining or harboring resentment, since they judge life primarily in terms of success. They feel they did not deserve such a great trial, that it was unfair, and they are embittered by it. They often take less interest in and are less active in the things they once enjoyed.”
