Edward Bach's definition of this remedy:

“The rescue remedy.14 The emergency remedy even for cases that seem hopeless. For accidents or sudden illnesses, or when the patient is very frightened or terrified, or if the condition is so serious as to cause great fear in those nearby. If the patient is unconscious, the remedy can be used to moisten their lips. Other remedies may also be necessary in addition, for example, Clematis in cases of unconsciousness, which is a state of deep slumber; Agrimony, if there is distress, and so on.”
