“Vague, unknown fears for which there is no explanation or reason. Yet the patient may be frightened by the feeling that something terrible is about to happen, but does not know what. These vague, inexplicable fears can torment the patient day or night. Those who suffer from them are often afraid to talk to others about their distress.”
