  • IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ORIGINAL RECIPE BY MRS. MARIA TREBEN

Some interesting uses for Swedish herbal bitters, taken from the ancient manuscript republished by Maria Treben, include remedies for various ailments. For toothaches, dilute a few drops in water or apply them directly to the tooth. For earaches or ringing in the ears, insert a cotton ball soaked in the solution into the ear. It is also recommended for fistulas—even the most stubborn ones—and for burns caused by fire, boiling water, or hot oil: when applied consistently, it prevents blisters and promotes healing. Rheumatic pain is relieved by taking the bitter tincture orally or applying it topically. It is also effective against chilblains, using compresses made of soaked gauze left in place for a few hours. The recommended dosage is one teaspoon three times a day, even in combination with topical applications.

It can be used both externally (massages, rubs, etc.) and internally (as a detoxifying or digestive aid, etc.). The traditional recipe recommends half a small glass a day, mixed with an equal amount of pure water.
Alcohol, hydroalcoholic extracts of: Cassia, natural Chinese camphor, rhubarb, turmeric, manna, Venetian theriac, angelica, Roman wormwood, carline thistle, myrrh, saffron.
